FAQ

Will you write me a letter of recommendation?

For interpreting programs, graduate school, or employment applications, I typically only write letters of recommendation for students I have taught in 2+ courses. I can say a lot more about your strengths, achievements, and who you are as a student and person if I've seen you and interacted with you in various contexts. Requests for letters of recommendation must be submitted 2-4 weeks before the letter is due. I am generally only able to offer letters of recommendation during the academic year.

If you would like me to write you a letter, please email me first to see if I'm able to write on your behalf. Please complete this form to help me tailor my letter for your application. In addition, please make sure to send me a resume/CV, cover letter and/or statement of purpose. Without these documents, I cannot complete your letter.
